STETTER recycling plants have been produced since 1970 and are used on 75% of all German concrete factories.

A recycling plant recycles the concrete 100%, i.e. all materials are recycled: water, aggregate and slurry.

By applying a recycling plant you can avoid bringing the precipitated slurry to the rubbish dump.

A recycling plant works in principle as shown on the sketch.

pind140.gif (57 bytes) The leftover concrete is supplied to the plant at (A) and is led via a chute into the wash barrel (B). The barrel rotates slowly, and extra wash water is added at (C).

Heavy particles (aggregate > approx. 0.2 mm) sink to the bottom and are led by means of built-in screw blades in the barrel up towards a built-in "shovel" (note that the barrel inclines down towards the plant, where the leftover concrete is supplied).

The "shovel" ensures that the heavy particles (> approx. 0.2 mm) are led out of the barrel at the chute (D). The fine particles (< approx. 0.2 mm) are kept suspended because of the extra supply of wash water and the movements of the barrel (rotations). The suspended particles are led out of the barrel at the overflow (E) and over in the storage basin.
